I want to change my finder divider column from having handles to resize the the column.... Where you have to drag the handle or double click it to resize the column.
I want it to have just the Line that divides the columns... Where you can double click anywhere on the line to resize the column.

See this article. In my case it seems to have changed from the skinny bar that can be resized from anywhere when I added an external bluetooth mouse. What is frustrating is that it didn't change back and forth with the add or remove of the mouse. It just went to the fat bar with the handle on the bottom and stayed there and I didn't notice right away so took a while to figure out that is what happened.
I was looking at how to do this too.
I thought it would be a Finder Setting.
It is in fact a setting under "General" within System Preferences.
Change the setting for "Show scroll bars" to something other than "Always".
Obviously this will affect all scrolling windows (e.g. Safari).
Thank you so much. It funny because at some point I found the answer (as you can see the post I originally made was from 2014) and forgot how to do it. And I've been trying to figure out how to change it back.
